This role provides direct oversight of medication storage and distribution for clients at a new 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth. The Medical Technician acts as the primary liaison between clients, staff, and medical professionals, ensuring proper medication administration and recording.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication as ordered by a physician
- Take and record vital signs of youth
- Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately
- Report and record any changes in condition
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must possess High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
- Must hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification, complete state required delegation and/or training requirements, and successfully complete the medication pass competency
- Knowledge of computer and EHR systems
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Entry level, preferred one year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting

- One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting
