XPS Leadership Program - Technology Intern

About This Role

This is an MBA intern role focused on leading the prototyping and validation of AI-driven solutions to transform raw operational data into robust AI micro-services. This role aims to evaluate commercial viability and operational impact across various portfolios, acting as a launchpad into a global career within Siemens.

Responsibilities

• Implement AI/ML experiments for use cases like predictive maintenance and anomaly detection with Python/TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Ingest, clean, and feature-engineer operational datasets, evaluating model performance with business-critical metrics
• Expose prototypes via APIs and integrate them into front-end or operational workflows within Brightly solutions
• Apply unit/integration testing, observability, and responsible AI practices aligned to enterprise standards
• Partner closely with Product Management on requirements, Design on UX, and platform teams on deployment considerations
• Deliver a functional, validated, and documented AI solution with a reproducible evaluation framework
• Prepare a comprehensive technical and strategic brief covering architecture, data pipeline, model metrics, and risks
• Present a formal demo of the integrated solution in a sandbox environment, including a roadmap for full-scale production

Requirements

• Pursuing an MBA or Master’s in Computer Science (CS), Data Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of prior work experience in a related technical / digital field
• Hands-on proficiency experience with Python and ML frameworks
• Comfortable with APIs and data pipelines
• Understand time-series/sensor data, NLP/LLMs, or recommender systems

Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s in Computer Science (CS), Data Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of prior work experience in a related technical / digital field

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Cloud (AWS and/or Azure), containers, CI/CD, C#/.NET or Java for service integration
• Familiarity with EAM/CMMS/SAM domains and IoT
