The Wound Care Clinical Specialist will utilize their expertise to support the company's vision and wound care goals, facilitating the clinical sales strategy in focused accounts within the acute care setting. This role involves developing professional relationships to influence healthcare change, improve clinical outcomes, and achieve corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Clinical Sales Strategy in association with Sales and Key Account Managers in top targeted accounts
- Deliver product related programs, including professional education events, development of evidence (QIPs) and other peer-to-peer events to appropriate audiences
- Develop implementation tools where and when appropriate
- Coordinate clinical activities with designated District Managers, Key Account Managers, and Account Managers to assist in the achievement of sales goals
- Act as the primary clinical resource for Account Managers ensuring that policies and procedures are properly implemented
- Provide training and support for new hire Account Managers
- Assist with additional training of tenured Account Managers, District Managers, and HCS teams in field, in the training center, and at region/national meetings
- Represent the COMPANY as an active member of Wound Care Clinical Associations
- Identify and nurture potential advocates and clinical investigators
- Partner with Marketing as needed
- Facilitate the selection and approval of clinical documents to be used in educational as well as consultative efforts
- Collaborate with Medical & Professional Affairs (MPA) department members and key stakeholders to ensure activities drive core business results
- Serve as a clinical resource in the research and development of new products, clinical trials, and the market launch of new products or services as requested
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in the management of time, travel, and resources related to business
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy or other nursing related specialty
- Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible work-related experience
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience within the wound care industry or surgical and OR departments
- Experience in presenting to large and small groups
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy or other nursing related specialty required
- Approximately 5 -7 years progressively responsible, work related experience
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree
- Experience calling on Infection Prevention
- Strong industry and clinical network
- Experience working for a medical product manufacturer as a Clinical resource to sales
