About This Role

This role is responsible for directly assisting customers by pulling orders, ensuring quality, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. This position plays a key part in the retail team, requiring material handling and order processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely locate and identify materials and products indicated on work orders using appropriate material handling equipment like forklifts and cherry pickers
• Use business software to pull inventory and process orders
• Ensure customer material is of the highest quality
• Pull, pack, and wrap material while adhering to the Quality System
• Verify the size and dimensions of materials and products using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and the established color-coding system
• Communicate inventory shortages and outages for re-ordering
• Identify discrepancies between the inventory listing and actual quantities in stock

Requirements

• 1+ year using a Forklift
• Experience with precision measuring tools like calipers and/or micrometers
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ year using a forklift and 1+ year working in a warehouse environment

Nice to Have

• 1+ year working in a warehouse environment
• Familiar with the proper tagging process
• Knowledge of proper packaging procedures for different types of materials
• Experience in a metal fabrication shop
