This role is for a Wi-Fi Infrastructure Test Engineer focused on designing and developing Python applications for real-time Wi-Fi network monitoring and analysis. The engineer will create packet monitoring solutions and data visualization tools to optimize wireless performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python applications that monitor, analyze, and manage Wi-Fi networks in real-time
- Create and implement packet monitoring solutions to identify performance bottlenecks and security threats
- Build data visualization tools to transform complex wireless performance metrics into actionable insights
- Architect and deploy distributed packet capture systems across diverse network environments
- Integrate wireless systems with broader network infrastructure and management platforms
- Document wireless network architectures, solutions, and best practices
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to optimize wireless performance
Requirements
- 3+ years of solid experience in WI-FI infrastructure Testing
- Strong Python programming skills with experience building network-focused applications
- Thorough understanding of Wi-Fi protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and wireless networking principles
- Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark for packet inspection and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of authentication protocols including WPA2/WPA3, EAP, and related security standards
- Experience in real-time traffic analysis and performance optimization
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments for network tool deployment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
