The Laser Operator takes on a processing role, responsible for producing finished parts while working as part of a team and independently to meet production goals. This role requires operating laser equipment and other fabricating machinery.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals
- Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects
- Read and process written communication including work orders and measurements
- Work independently and under close supervision
- Demonstrate production competency and knowledge of production systems
- Rotate to other production positions as needed
- Operate appropriate equipment including fabricating machinery and crane
- Physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds
- Possess successful problem-solving skills
- Exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow team members, and customers
- Work under physically and mentally stressful situations
- Prioritize and easily adapt to changes throughout the day
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year manufacturing/industry experience
- Ability to work as part of a team
