Web Press Helper

About This Role

The Web Press Helper I contributes to company quality and service commitments by operating equipment such as multi-color sheet-fed or continuous/web presses, focusing on custom or base forms work or high-speed single-color continuous/web presses, including manual numbering and changeovers. This role involves setting up presses efficiently, meeting job requirements for ink density, color matching, and construction, and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press in an efficient manner, including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, or making appropriate adjustments to ink and water balance.
• Assure accurate multi-color register and set up attribute functions like perforations, number, file holes, and thermo unit.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and run press productively while meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction.
• Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
• Demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, and cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older

Qualifications

• High School
• 1 year of printing experience
