Water Heater Selling Technician

About This Role

This role is for a customer-focused technician who excels at both closing sales and installing water heater solutions. They will act as a trusted advisor to homeowners and businesses, providing expert recommendations and quality installations.

Responsibilities

• Actively recommend and sell replacement water heaters, water filtration systems, and related products during service calls
• Close residential and/or commercial sales opportunities by presenting product information, pricing, and value
• Install gas, electric, and tankless water heaters with attention to safety and code compliance
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform water heater repairs and maintenance
• Leverage AI technology to review recorded sales interactions and improve sales techniques
• Educate customers on product benefits, energy efficiency, and proper maintenance
• Maintain vehicle inventory, complete documentation, and ensure excellent jobsite cleanliness
• Collaborate with dispatchers and installers to complete jobs on time
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum one year of relevant field experience
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting water heaters 75+lbs, bending, crawling, driving, etc.)
• Coachable mindset and openness to feedback from field leadership and peers
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant field experience; plumbing background preferred.
