Warehouse Technician

About This Role

This Warehouse Technician II role involves a variety of daily warehouse tasks including order pulling, product receiving, shipping, and labeling within a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver who can also train new team members and cover all operational areas of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Perform order picking, shipping, and receiving of hazardous and non-hazardous materials with high accuracy
• Consistently perform and assist others in all areas of 5S (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain)
• Perform in other areas of the warehouse as needed
• Cross-train other employees as required
• Operate all necessary warehouse equipment in accordance with safety operating procedures/manuals
• Follow ISO 9001 Quality standards
• Understand and perform OSHA & EH&S specific guidelines
• Comply with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Perform job functions in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and statement of work (SOWs)
• Facilitate two-way communication with coworkers and supervisory personnel to ensure full customer satisfaction

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• IATA and CFR49 Certificate of completion
• Forklift certification and training for all types
• Knowledge of OSHA and EH&S requirements
• 2+ years warehouse operations experience
• Experience with creating statements of work (SOW)
• Experience in inventory management systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Computer literate in MS Word and Outlook
• Working knowledge of shipping and receiving software
• Ability to read/write in English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years warehouse operations experience, preferably from industrial, electronics assembly, or aerospace and defense distribution discipline.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a chemical or industrial setting for inventory management systems
• Warehouse management system experience (TWL experience with an RF gun is preferred)
