Warehouse Delivery Associate

About This Role

This role involves providing high-level customer service at a landscape supply location, including direct customer interaction, product knowledge, and efficient delivery operations, while contributing to a family-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and greet them upon arrival
• Provide accurate information on product features, pricing, and services
• Answer customer questions about specific products and services
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing decisions
• Cross-sell products and ensure racks are fully stocked
• Manage returns of merchandise and coordinate with the team for excellent customer service
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products and services
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses following routes and time schedules
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle according to DOT regulations and safety standards
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve client complaints

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs and perform in seasonal high heat
• Comfortable operating and making deliveries in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Good driving record with no traffic violations

Qualifications

• Prior outdoor supply industry experience preferred; proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role.
