This role involves supporting warehouse operations by managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space. The associate will operate heavy machinery to transport items and prepare orders for delivery, contributing to the efficient flow of materials for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, crate, pack, wrap, label, and ship)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for daily cycle counts
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory
- Operate overhead cranes to load and unload large inventory
- Inspect inventory for defects or damages and document instances
- Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
- Organize warehouse and receiving space
- Receive, unload and put away incoming inventory items appropriately
- Check, verify, and fill manufacturing needs
- Operate forklifts and heavy machinery needed to transport large items around the plant
Requirements
- Ability to operate heavy machinery responsibly
- Basic math and computer skills
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
