This role involves loading and unloading trucks, organizing warehouse inventory, and fulfilling customer orders using battery-operated forklifts and pallet jacks for a dairy company. The position requires flexibility for weekend work and overtime.
Responsibilities
- Load route trucks and semi-trailers using battery-operated forklift and/or pallet jack
- Move product in and out of the warehouse as required
- Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute to sales associates for processing
- Ensure items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate to a holding area/shipping department
- Assist in counting physical inventory
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Perform pick from trays by customer number, review orders, and assemble correct products for shipment
- Load materials into trailers and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Requirements
- Ability to operate a battery-operated forklift
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
- Flexibility to work weekends
- Flexibility to work overtime
