The Wallcovering Installer is responsible for preparing, measuring, cutting, and applying a wide range of wallcovering materials to interior and exterior surfaces. This role requires a strong eye for detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare walls, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and properly primed for installation
- Cut, match, and apply wallcoverings including vinyl, fabric, digital prints, murals, and specialty materials
- Align patterns precisely and maintain consistent seams and adhesion
- Remove old wallcoverings and repair damaged surfaces as needed
- Mix and apply appropriate adhesives, following manufacturer specifications
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in clean, working condition
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures and site regulations during installation
- Inspect completed work to ensure superior craftsmanship and client satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional wallcovering installer or wallpaper hanger
- Strong knowledge of wall preparation, adhesives, and application techniques for various materials
- Ability to read blueprints, design layouts, and installation specifications
- Excellent attention to detail, color matching, and pattern alignment
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift materials as needed
- Reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional wallcovering installer or wallpaper hanger
Nice to Have
- Certification from the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA)
