Wallcovering Installer

About This Role

The Wallcovering Installer is responsible for preparing, measuring, cutting, and applying a wide range of wallcovering materials to interior and exterior surfaces. This role requires a strong eye for detail, precision, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare walls, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and properly primed for installation
• Cut, match, and apply wallcoverings including vinyl, fabric, digital prints, murals, and specialty materials
• Align patterns precisely and maintain consistent seams and adhesion
• Remove old wallcoverings and repair damaged surfaces as needed
• Mix and apply appropriate adhesives, following manufacturer specifications
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in clean, working condition
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to meet project timelines and quality standards
• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations during installation
• Inspect completed work to ensure superior craftsmanship and client satisfaction

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional wallcovering installer or wallpaper hanger
• Strong knowledge of wall preparation, adhesives, and application techniques for various materials
• Ability to read blueprints, design layouts, and installation specifications
• Excellent attention to detail, color matching, and pattern alignment
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift materials as needed
• Reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional wallcovering installer or wallpaper hanger

Nice to Have

• Certification from the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA)
