VP & General Manager of Finance

About This Role

The VP & General Manager of Finance will direct group financing activities across the Americas, supervise cash management, and optimize liquidity for an international trading company. This role involves leading the development of the Finance function into a regional treasury hub and providing financial advisory support to group companies.

Responsibilities

• Direct group financing activities across the Americas, including cash pooling, intercompany loans, and coordination with HQ Treasury on funding and currency strategy
• Supervise cash management operations, trade finance activities, and reconciliation of cash accounts to bank statements
• Optimize liquidity by minimizing excess cash, avoiding shortfalls, managing loan receivables/payables, and overseeing borrowing activities with relationship banks
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Manage foreign exchange risk, regulatory considerations, and advise stakeholders on related financial implications
• Provide financial advisory and analytical support to group companies on financing, investments, banking relationships, and strategic initiatives
• Lead the development of the Finance function into a regional treasury hub, delivering centralized funding solutions and financial governance
• Develop and motivate staff through training, technical guidance, supervision, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
• Collaborate with regional Finance teams, HQ partners, auditors, and business departments to support accounting inquiries, approvals, and compliance requirements
• Support strategic planning, investment management, administrative operations, and ad hoc finance projects as needed

Requirements

• 7+ years of corporate treasury experience
• Experience from a large international company
• Experience working with banks
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills

• 7+ years of corporate treasury experience
