About This Role

Manage Ashoka's volunteer program by overseeing recruitment partnerships with LinkedIn, screening applications, and cultivating a community of professional support partners to amplify the work of global staff and Fellows.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the LinkedIn platform to post ads for skill-based volunteering, reviewing, editing, formatting, and activating ads from staff and Fellows.
  • Create and maintain current communications for volunteer applicants and automated messages for staff and Fellows.
  • Screen applications with a volunteer assistant to select and share highly qualified candidates as an ongoing talent resource.
  • Cultivate and maintain a community of exceptional volunteers (Support Partners) through communications like a bi-monthly newsletter and invitations to online events.
  • Conduct regular outreach to staff and Fellows to encourage the use of the LinkedIn recruitment platform and available Support Partners.

Requirements

  • Based in the Washington, DC metro area or within reasonable travel distance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience volunteering or working with volunteers
  • Human resource and recruiting experience
  • Project management experience

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with or willing to learn Salesforce
  • Entrepreneurial history and/or personal qualities
