Visiting Professor Statistics

About This Role

This role is for a Visiting Professor of Statistics who will develop and deliver educational courses to undergraduate and graduate students, focusing on practitioner-focused education within DeVry University's framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows an established template
• Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials
• Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software
• Model effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning
• Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight distribution of various evaluation categories
• Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives
• Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students

Requirements

• Master's degree
• 18 graduate hours in statistics (for undergraduate teaching)
• Requisite subject matter expertise
• Outstanding communication skills
