Video Editor – AI & R&D Focus

About This Role

This role is for an innovative Video Editor to join a next-generation team with a focus on speed, AI, and technical experimentation. You will edit high volumes of video while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of modern video editing through R&D.

Responsibilities

• Edit high volumes of short-form and long-form video with exceptional speed and quality
• Create mobile-first, platform-native content (TikTok, Shorts, Reels, etc.) alongside traditional formats
• Pull raw footage directly from internal servers and optimize workflows around large media files
• Experiment aggressively with AI-powered editing tools, automation, scripting, templates, LLMs, prompt-based workflows, and machine-learning-assisted editing
• Build, test, and document new editing systems that improve velocity, quality, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Present new tools, techniques, and workflows to the broader editing organization
• Help set new norms for how editing is done company-wide
• Absorb a significant volume of edits currently handled externally, helping convert variable costs into a high-performance internal team
• Travel occasionally to industry events, local meetups, technology conferences, and innovation-focused gatherings
