About This Role

The Vice President oversees all sales and operations activities, driving profitability and growth. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing budgets, and cultivating customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and performance of all sales and operations activities
• Provide leadership for achieving maximum profitability and growth
• Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base
• Set goals, targets, and budgets for sales and operations
• Supervise, motivate, and monitor sales performance for all departments
• Direct and assist Branch Managers in recruiting and training sales staff
• Develop and monitor pricing strategies to maximize margin and sales volume
• Maintain relationships with key customers and participate in sales calls
• Control inventories and expenses to meet budget guidelines
• Provide timely feedback on sales and profit performance to the Executive Committee

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
• 7+ years of experience in sales management with proven leadership skills
• Experience with medium and heavy-duty truck applications and markets
• Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
• Strong understanding of selling techniques for high-dollar value technical products
• Willingness to travel and work in multiple locations
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Management skills including strategic plan development and decision making
• Ability to coach, train, and motivate subordinates
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; further education preferred
• Seven to ten years of experience in sales management with proven leadership skills
