Vice President of Finance And Operations

About This Role

This role is for a Vice President of Finance & Operations to lead financial management and operational execution for a venture-backed FinTech/Crypto Asset Management startup. The role involves financial strategy, operational oversight, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Develop and oversee financial models, unit economics, and performance metrics
• Prepare management reports, board materials, and investor updates
• Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and strategic transactions
• Establish internal financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting standards
• Build and optimize core operational processes across finance, compliance, and internal operations
• Partner with legal and compliance teams to support regulatory requirements
• Oversee vendor management, operational risk, and cost efficiency initiatives
• Support scaling of systems, tools, and workflows as the company grows
• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in finance, operations, or a combination of both
• Prior experience in fintech, financial services, asset management, crypto, or digital assets
• Proven track record in financial planning, operational scaling, and executive-level reporting
• Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory and compliance environments
• Experience working with venture-backed or private equity–backed companies
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in finance, operations, or a combination of both

Nice to Have

• Experience working with or reporting to global institutional investors
• Exposure to cross-border operations or international structures
• CPA, CFA, or MBA background
