About This Role

This role leads the development and execution of all Market Access strategies and tactics within the US market for a biopharmaceutical company focused on Critical Care and Infectious Diseases. The Vice President will ensure optimal patient access and reimbursement for current and future products, driving strategic growth and adapting to evolving healthcare policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a vision and plan prioritizing strategic and profitable access growth across the entire portfolio, aligning with commercial objectives
  • Lead pricing and contracting strategy across hospital and outpatient infusion settings, including National Accounts, GPOs, Federal and Government Pricing, Specialty Pharmacy, and Trade and Distribution
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical, and Commercial Leadership to execute and align on Commercial brand strategy
  • Ensure all commercial market access programs, activities, and engagements adhere to the highest ethical, legal & regulatory standards
  • Serve as a strong people leader, actively mentoring, coaching, and investing in the development of team members
  • Own Market Access budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring ROI-driven investment decisions
  • Drive integrated access strategy across launch planning and lifecycle management, providing early access input into pipeline and BD decisions
  • Leverage market access analytics, payer insights, and customer intelligence to inform strategy, optimize performance, and adapt to market changes
  • Define and monitor key access performance metrics and KPIs, translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Monitor and assess health policy, reimbursement, and regulatory changes, proactively adjusting strategy to manage risk and capitalize on opportunity
  • Serve as the enterprise Market Access thought leader, providing strategic guidance to executive leadership on evolving reimbursement, policy, and site-of-care dynamics
  • Engage in in-person customer and field-based activities, including all relevant national conferences, with travel greater than 50%

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience working in biopharma organizations
  • 10+ years of experience leading market access teams across reimbursement, pricing/contracting, commercial account management, government policy, and government account management
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing Market Access organizations with accountability for team performance
  • Deep knowledge of the US healthcare system, including evolving hospital/integrated health system landscape, decision-making, financial and reimbursement processes
  • Extensive knowledge in ASP management strategies, outpatient infusion & reimbursement across inpatient and outpatient markets
  • Expertise spanning all channels in the value chain including provider, distributor, and commercial payer
  • Broad knowledge of the biopharma industry including understanding of commercial functions (insights and analytics, marketing, market access, communications/corporate affairs, commercial operations, and strategy)
  • Strong business acumen, including ability to develop and execute business plans based on analysis of key performance/quality metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in biopharma organizations and 10+ years leading market access teams
