Veterinary Technician

About This Role

Provide personalized, compassionate, and dedicated veterinary care to enrich the lives of both clients and patients as an experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant at Heritage Animal Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Help doctors with physical examinations
• Communicate and educate clients on patient care
• Dispense medications as directed
• Help position patients for radiographs
• Provide nursing and comfort care for hospitalized pets
• Perform treatments and collect samples (blood/urine/feces)
• Process laboratory diagnostic tests
• Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50lbs, bend/kneel throughout the day, and stand for extended periods of time
• Comfortable with the proper restraint of dogs and cats
• Accountable, punctual, and reliable
• Positive attitude
• Passion for excellence in animal care
• Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and some holidays
• Receptive to training with a positive team attitude

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, but willing to train a candidate with a good work ethic and desire to succeed.
