Veterinary Receptionist

About This Role

Serve as the welcoming face at the front desk of Pine Bluff Animal Hospital, providing knowledgeable customer service and confidently communicating veterinary care information to clients.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, complete sign-in, and confirm appointment details.
• Escort clients to exam rooms and relay key information between clients and clinical staff.
• Manage incoming calls for appointments, care questions, and prescription refills.
• Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-up care.
• Process payments, manage invoicing, and schedule future appointments.
• Understand and communicate clearly about common vaccines, lab tests, procedures, and veterinary terminology.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and client-ready environment, including occasional pet-related clean-up.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Comfort discussing sensitive topics (e.g., end-of-life care, financial discussions) with empathy
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a veterinary office
