Lead and optimize a nationwide vendor network by sourcing, screening, and onboarding subcontractors and suppliers for construction and facilities maintenance projects. Oversee a team, negotiate contracts, and utilize data analytics to ensure seamless, cost-effective solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify patterns and trends, providing actionable decisions to expand and optimize the vendor and subcontractor database and process
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate department staff, providing professional development
- Communicate key performance indicators, goals, and responsibilities to staff
- Cultivate and manage subcontractor relationships to ensure services meet quality standards, align with company objectives, and are completed on time
- Evaluate and select vendors based on factors such as trade, location, price, quality, and delivery speed
- Conduct vendor evaluations to assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Process new vendor applications, retrieving required documents, certifications, insurance, and contracts
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure advantageous terms and conditions
- Ensure all subcontractor documentation is up to date and in compliance with company policies
- Maintain and update the vendor/subcontractor database for current certificates of insurance, W9s, and related qualification documents
Requirements
- Strong Analytical skills: trend identification and reporting, data visualization and analysis
- Previous experience supervising personnel, training, and evaluating staff
- Proficiency in data analysis, vendor sourcing strategy, and supervising/coaching a team
- Ability to operate accurately and effectively within a high-volume environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service culture
- IT literacy, including use of Work Order ERP systems, spreadsheets, word processing, email, calendar/scheduling, and cloud-sharing systems (Outlook Calendar, Word, Excel, and MS SharePoint preferred)
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Understanding of confidentiality and data-protection processes for sensitive financial and client information
