Value Packline Team Lead

About This Role

Lead value packline operations, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of work processes to meet operating efficiency, accuracy, and damage targets. This role involves managing and communicating with team members and warehouse leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set an example of personal performance and integrity, encouraging excellence and collaboration
• Effectively lead and manage team members, using coaching and recognition to achieve results
• Address subordinate performance not meeting expectations, providing training and coaching
• Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships internally and externally
• Take initiative in actions towards goals, displaying a strong work ethic and persistence
• Think creatively to develop solutions and apply technical knowledge effectively
• Communicate effectively and positively with employees and truck drivers
• Keep others informed with necessary and relevant information
• Set up and maintain Secondary Packaging operations and all components of the area
• Maintain accurate inventory count and levels for packaging materials and related products
• Verify accuracy of paperwork and customer order documentation
• Oversee pallet handling operations and promote a safe and efficient workspace
• Prepare data and reports, including shortages, inventory discrepancies, and labeling
• Train new employees in secondary packaging operations, inventory, and product guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Proficient in basic math
• Proficient in the Oracle system, understanding all necessary operations and reports
• Efficient and accurate in data/billing entries into the system
• Ability to achieve all necessary deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers by e-mail, phone, and other correspondence
• Skilled in the operation of relevant material handling equipment (ex., forklifts, stretch wrappers)
