Vacation Relief Operator

About This Role

This role involves performing all production and warehouse duties on a relief basis for Continental Dairy Facilities Southwest, LLC. This position ensures continuous operation across various functions including evaporator/dryer, packaging, receiving, and butter production.

Responsibilities

• Operate cream processing, evaporators, and dryer in a safe, sanitary manner, including pasteurizing, condensing, and drying products.
• Clean cream pasteurizer, evaporator, dryer, and related equipment, performing hand cleaning, clean-in-place operations, and dry cleaning.
• Monitor product moisture, fat, and scorched particles, and log results regularly.
• Receive incoming milk and other products, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
• Perform raw product load out and ensure products meet legal and company standards.
• Maintain proper packaging of dry products in bags and totes, observing machine operations for quality and conformity.
• Mix and blend butter, maintaining high sanitation levels and observing churn operations for quality.
• Package finished butter products, monitoring the production line for issues and inspecting for defects.
• Manage the load out and receiving of all products and supplies for the dry operation in the warehouse.
• Maintain chemical supplies, proper product rotation, inventory, and ensure the warehouse is clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot small problems and discern when to escalate issues.
• Willingness to ask for assistance when clarification is needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
