About This Role

Lead and scale the Utility business across North America by driving bookings, revenue, and margin growth. This role involves hunting new opportunities, expanding key utility accounts, and leading a field-based sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the Utility business segment, driving bookings, revenue, and margin growth
  • Lead a team of field-based sales professionals focused on hunting, expanding, and defending utility accounts
  • Set territory strategy, account plans, and sales targets aligned with company growth objectives
  • Act as a senior commercial presence with IOUs, cooperatives, municipalities, EPCs, and utility partners
  • Identify and pursue new utility opportunities across transmission, distribution, renewable interconnection, and grid modernization
  • Lead major pursuits, RFPs, and strategic bids
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing utility sales team
  • Partner with Engineering, Pricing, Operations, and Production to align customer commitments with capacity and execution
  • Own pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and deal execution discipline
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on market trends, risks, and opportunities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience in utility, electrical equipment, power infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing
  • Proven success selling complex, engineered products into utility environments
  • Hunter mindset with strong commercial instincts
  • Confident executive communicator
  • Strong leadership presence; leads by example in the field
  • Deep understanding of long-cycle, project-based sales
  • Highly organized with strong CRM, forecasting, and deal management discipline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of sales experience in utility, electrical equipment, power infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing, with prior experience leading field-based sales teams strongly preferred.
