Utilities Maintenance (Refrigeration/Boilers) & PSM

About This Role

Operate, maintain, and repair critical utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration and steam boilers, for a food manufacturing facility while ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting continuous plant operations. This role also coordinates and maintains the Process Safety Management (PSM) program for ammonia refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems
• Operate, maintain, and repair steam boilers, condensate systems, and related controls
• Install, maintain, and repair water treatment equipment and distribution systems
• Perform routine inspections, preventative and predictive maintenance on utilities equipment
• Perform routine rounds and readings of system parameters
• Maintain water treatment programs for boilers, cooling towers, and other systems
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Respond promptly to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and utility system emergencies
• Safely handle and monitor ammonia systems in compliance with PSM/RMP standards and OSHA regulations
• Coordinate and maintain elements of the Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) applicable to ammonia refrigeration

Requirements

• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
• Knowledge of steam boilers and related controls
• Understanding of PSM/RMP standards and OSHA regulations
