About This Role

This position focuses on the assembly, covering, and repair of seating pads for fitness equipment, operating under the direction of an Assembly Lead. The incumbent will be involved in learning to use tools such as the router and sewing machine.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, cover, and repair seating pads for fitness equipment
• Cut padding using a band saw
• Trace and cut upholstery material using scissors or a razor blade
• Cover assembled seating pads using staples and/or glue
• Remove old covering, padding, and defective wood from seats needing repair
• Maintain all necessary tools in proper working condition at the workstation
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Follow safety procedures and instructions
• Maintain productivity throughout the shift
• Meet production expectations set by the team lead

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to work overtime
• Attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Time management
• Willingness to learn other lines of equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 3 months to 3 years related experience and/or training in upholstery, sewing, assembly, or related experience.
