About This Role

This role supports critical UNIX and Windows systems for the U-2 enterprise at Beale AFB, ensuring continuous availability and security for demanding ISR missions. This position involves daily system administration, troubleshooting, and project support across classified and unclassified environments, directly contributing to mission continuity and cyber readiness.

Responsibilities

Ensure continuous availability of classified and unclassified UNIX and Windows systems around the clock
Provide daily system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for IT environments
Sustain operating capability across servers, workstations, and virtualized infrastructures
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across hybrid infrastructures
Support users with system access, configuration, and technical assistance
Maintain secure, compliant, and mission-ready IT environments
Assist with technical project development and implementation
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives
Collaborate with team members to integrate new capabilities into existing environments
Maintain accurate system documentation and configuration records
Ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force, and security directives
Support audit readiness and system security requirements

Requirements

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
Previous experience as a System Administrator in a hybrid Windows/UNIX environment
CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M
Strong foundational knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software infrastructures
Active TS/SCI clearance
Valid passport

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or High School Diploma/equivalent
6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4 years relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 10 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Experience with license managers in Windows and UNIX environments
Scripting, coding, or programming experience (Java, .NET, or similar)
High-Performance Computing (HPC) experience
