Provide direct customer service as a Universal Banker/Teller, promoting the bank's products and services, handling various transactions, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct customer service including cashing checks, accepting deposits, processing withdrawals and account closures, and transferring funds
- Handle telephone calls from deposit customers, process money orders, and accept and post loan payments
- Perform assigned clerical responsibilities in a timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures, performing Teller functions in accordance with established procedures and money security
- Initiate customer greeting, addressing customers by name with a smile and direct eye contact
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously through prompt and accurate handling/processing of transactions and balancing work daily
- Accept incoming telephone calls, positively identify customers following Customer Identification Procedures (CIP), and respond to inquiries
- Input data to update customer account information and make changes as appropriate
- Complete paperwork and input data to establish account relationships on the Bank's computer system, providing appropriate disclosures
- Suggest additional products and services that may benefit customers, maintaining a record of products/services suggested and established
- Maintain a current knowledge of the Bank's deposit related products and services
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and competency in processing transactions and entering data on the computer
- Trial balance and balance, reconciling cash and paperwork with transactions input on computer terminal
- Successfully complete all required compliance training and perform Teller functions in accord with compliance requirements
- Understand bank security policies and procedures, assisting in opening and closing procedures
Requirements

- Professional in appearance and communication
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in cash handling and customer service
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work a variable work schedule
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to view computer screen, paperwork and cash
- Ability to travel to other branch locations, as needed
