Unground Mechanical Pipe Foreman

About This Role

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule a crew of 3-15 construction employees daily for underground mechanical pipefitting operations. Oversee pipefitting activities in an assigned area, ensuring specifications are met and safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews within their specific project area
• Schedule and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers, communicating with other trades
• Read specifications and plans to determine construction requirements or plan procedures
• Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures/equipment
• Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data
• Provide assistance to workers using hand tools or other equipment
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites for safety and specification compliance
• Adhere to safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment
• Train and supervise workers on company policies, safety practices, regulations and procedures

Requirements

• 5-8 years of verifiable construction experience
• Ability to effectively read and understand work plans
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Strong work ethic
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of verifiable construction experience required; 5 years Construction Foreman experience preferred

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Experience managing crews and subcontractors
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors
