The Underwriting Service Coordinator supports the expansion of medical professional liability business by processing requests, partnering with underwriters, and managing the submission lifecycle for healthcare organizations and professionals.
Responsibilities
- Possess a strong working knowledge of TDCSU products and corresponding product appetites
- Partner with assigned underwriter(s) to assure high level of satisfaction for broker experiences
- Support the submission lifecycle process utilizing established guidelines, workflows and service metrics
- Primary responsibility for renewal solicitation and pre-work, binder processing, subjectivity follow-ups, policy issuance and mid-term transactions
- Assure all required data elements to close out the underwriting process for respective accounts are complete and accurate
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of policy administration and related systems functionality
- Assist underwriters with training on systems and suggest enhancements to policy administration systems
Requirements
- 1-3 years specialty lines experience as underwriting assistant or equivalent
- Proficiency with Excel
- Proficiency with Word
- Demonstrated aptitude with Windows based operating systems
