Perform a variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients. Work across multiple UW Health locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, contributing to exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of routine ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts and routine vascular examinations
- Perform complex ultrasound procedures
- Perform clinical examinations on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups
- Work at various locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and several clinics in the Madison area
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- Previous healthcare experience
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in a minimum of two concentrations: Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, Breast or Pediatric Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Upon Hire
- RVT credential, if not already acquired, or Minimum Qualifications Substitute (MQS) if in OBGYN department within 30 months
- CPR certification within 3 months
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- Previous healthcare experience Required, 2 years of clinical experience Preferred
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 2 years of clinical experience
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of two concentrations and RVT
