About This Role

Perform a variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients. Work across multiple UW Health locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, contributing to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of routine ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts and routine vascular examinations
  • Perform complex ultrasound procedures
  • Perform clinical examinations on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups
  • Work at various locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and several clinics in the Madison area

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in a minimum of two concentrations: Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, Breast or Pediatric Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Upon Hire
  • RVT credential, if not already acquired, or Minimum Qualifications Substitute (MQS) if in OBGYN department within 30 months
  • CPR certification within 3 months

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
  • Previous healthcare experience Required, 2 years of clinical experience Preferred

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of two concentrations and RVT

Certifications
