The Traveling Wind Generator Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine generators. This role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operations, maintenance, QA/QC Inspections, retrofits, commissioning and/or repair of wind turbine generators.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems, including repair or replacement of parts to correct failures.
- Execute required tasks by Field Service Coordinator and in alignment with site manager with minimal supervision.
- Use schematics, blueprints and work instructions to execute the assigned services.
- Inform management of any issues preventing the safe execution of assigned services.
- Complete required reporting of the assigned services.
- Adhere to Company policies, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices.
- Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks, providing recommendations to management.
- Perform tasks according to organizational requirements for quality management, environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
