Lane Valente Industries is seeking a Traveling Journeyman Electrician to install electrical systems in commercial construction markets. This role involves direct supervision of helpers and apprentices, ensuring work adheres to national and local codes while maintaining excellent customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Report to project worksite on time and ready to work
- Apply basic electrical and construction principles to solve design and modification problems
- Complete work in accordance with national and local codes, staying current with the latest NEC revisions
- Fulfill daily commitments and stay on project schedule as directed by job-site foreman
- Assist with loading materials, digging trenches, and pulling wire through conduit
- Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams/blueprints
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit
- Troubleshoot most common electrical systems including services, feeders, and branch circuits
- Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
- Repair faulty equipment or systems
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Electrician's hand tools
- Ability to work with hands and multi-task
- Advanced electrical knowledge
- Clear driving record
- Strong understanding of national and local electrical codes, including NEC
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- 4 years’ experience in electrical project installations
