Travel Ultrasound Technologist

About This Role

Operate imaging equipment, conduct ultrasound exams, and communicate findings to physicians in a hospital setting in Anchorage, Alaska, on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and review images for quality and diagnostic value
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, summarizing and communicating them to physicians
• Alert health professionals to urgent problems identified in imaging
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate them throughout the ultrasound exam
• Review patient medical history and record imaging results in patient records
• Coordinate care with various departments within the facility

Requirements

• Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Associate or Bachelor's degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy
• American Heart Association BLS
• 2 years of recent relevant experience
