Travel Support Specialist

About This Role

As a Travel Support Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in the travel market to provide best-in-class support to regional travel teams, handling complex requests such as ticket issuing, reissuing, cancellations, and refunds. You will ensure accurate booking data and drive supplier revenue utilizing GDS booking technology and fostering strong relationships to achieve peak performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to regional travel teams with complex requests including ticket issuing, reissuing, cancellations, refunds, and exchanges
• Support Commercial and Finance teams with ensuring accurate booking data is stored in back-office systems
• Utilize knowledge of GDS booking technology to drive supplier revenue results
• Achieve peak performance within Travel by utilizing relationships and contracts
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly independently
• Handle sensitive and confidential company matters with discretion
• Identify suppliers and negotiate benefits for members
• Multitask and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of GDS experience booking Domestic & International Flights including Published and Net Fares
• Knowledge of Travel industry regulations and operating licenses
• Experience working with IATA, BSP and ARC
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to handle customer escalations to resolution
• Sound commercial judgment
• Flexibility to work weekends/early/late shifts (4AM - 10PM local time)

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum of 2 years of GDS experience booking Domestic & International Flights including Published and Net Fares

Nice to Have

• Amadeus GDS experience preferred
• Well-travelled with a good international understanding of different destinations
• Excellent research skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of Office Word, MS Outlook
