Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Neuro Diagnostics

Join a dynamic team as a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Neuro Diagnostics, providing comprehensive patient assessments and respiratory care in adult critical care, emergency department, and med/surg units.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and respiratory care, including airway management and medication administration
• Perform ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust therapy as needed
• Perform pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Document all patient care activities in the electronic health record system (Epic)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in adult critical care settings
• Current NC state RRT license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Proficient in the use of various respiratory equipment, including Servo I and Servo U ventilators
• Experience with bi-level and continuous positive airway pressure (BiPAP/CPAP) therapy
• Ability to manage high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy
• Knowledge of aerosol therapy and medication delivery systems

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in adult critical care settings
