Join a dynamic team as a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Neuro Diagnostics, providing comprehensive patient assessments and respiratory care in adult critical care, emergency department, and med/surg units.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and respiratory care, including airway management and medication administration
- Perform ventilator management and troubleshooting
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust therapy as needed
- Perform pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Document all patient care activities in the electronic health record system (Epic)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in adult critical care settings
- Current NC state RRT license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Proficient in the use of various respiratory equipment, including Servo I and Servo U ventilators
- Experience with bi-level and continuous positive airway pressure (BiPAP/CPAP) therapy
- Ability to manage high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy
- Knowledge of aerosol therapy and medication delivery systems
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in adult critical care settings
