Travel Physical Therapy Assistant

About This Role

Join a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting as a Physical Therapist Assistant, providing physical treatment procedures to improve mobility and relieve pain under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists
• Use physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury
• Utilize techniques such as massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction and ultrasound, and other assigned exercises for treating patients
• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited school
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or proactively in the application process for current state licensure
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited school
• Experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant
