Travel Nurse RN - Stepdown

About This Role

Serve as a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown care in Kearney, Nebraska, for a 13-week assignment focusing on adult cardiac, vascular, and medical-surgical patients. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills to provide a higher standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with common diagnoses such as cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, and renal failure.
• Titrate common drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
• Read and interpret tele monitors strips.
• Utilize RT equipment like high flow oxygen when necessary.
• Float to MedSurg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients as needed.
• Adhere to strict fingernail policy which prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas.
• Pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
