Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room

About This Role

Seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in Operating Room procedures for a 13-week assignment in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. This role involves providing skilled nursing care primarily in the OR, with some PACU responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room for general surgery cases
• Assist with Endarterectomy procedures, including stenting and vessel cleaning
• Participate in Ortho procedures, including totals, ORIF, and arthroscopy
• Perform general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and endoscopy (GI) nursing duties
• Support GYN procedures and ENT procedures (tubes, tonsils, adenoids, thyroids, nasal fracture repair)
• Help recover patients in PACU during call back situations

Requirements

• RN KY License or compact Required
• Minimum 2 years experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Experience with General OR, Endarterectomy with Stents and Patches, Aneurysm and Vessel Cleaning
• Experience with Ortho, totals, ORIF, Arthroscopy, General Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Endoscopy (GI)
• Experience with GYN Procedures, Relief for ENT Tech for usual ENT Procedures
• PACU experience for patient recovery during call back situations
• Permanent address at least 100 miles Radius Rule from Prestonsburg, KY
