Provide specialized nursing care in the Emergency Department, assessing and stabilizing patients with various illnesses and trauma. This is a travel nurse assignment for a duration of 13 weeks with 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with various illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention
- Recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions
- Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action
- Be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues
- Properly understand triage in order to prioritize injuries based on medical need
- Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting
