Travel Emergency Department RN

About This Role

Provide critical emergency care as a Registered Nurse in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, requiring adherence to strict certification, health, and competency standards for a 13-week travel contract.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room specialty
• Nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days of start
• Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration
• Completion of FMOLHS Resume submission
• Pass FMOLHS Criminal Background Check within 30 days prior to start (SSN Address Trace, county and national criminal checks, education and employment verification, driving record)
• Pass FMOLHS Drug Screen (10 panel) within 30 days prior to start
• Complete FMOLHS Skills Checklist, Competency Exam, and Core Competencies annually with passing scores
• Provide proof of required immunizations and health statements (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Health Statement, Varicella, Tdap, Annual TB Questionnaire)
• Complete FMOLHS Eye Exam & Color Vision test within 1 year prior to start
• Unit specific FMOLHS Skills Checklist required within one year prior to start and updated annually
• Unit specific FMOLHS Competency Exam required within one year prior to start with passing score of 80% or higher
• Unit specific FMOLHS Core Competencies required annually with passing score of 80% or higher (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Blood borne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives)
• Mask fit test (N95) completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation)
• Annual TB Questionnaire required within 6 months of start with documentation if positive
• FMOLHS Badge Photo required
• FMOLHS Contract Annual Education Packet completed
