Travel CT Technologist

About This Role

Operate CT scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, obtaining high-quality images for physician diagnosis. Ensure patient comfort and safety, prepare equipment, and assist the healthcare team in gathering diagnostic information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
• Verify patient information, medical history, allergies, and prior imaging
• Position patients properly on the CT table for necessary images
• Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings
• Administer contrast agents or dye injections under guidance to enhance image clarity
• Review CT images for quality, ensuring required areas are captured and meet diagnostic standards
• Work closely with radiologists to ensure image quality for diagnosis
• Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and clean environment in the CT room
• Work closely with healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging procedures and assist in diagnosis

Requirements

• CT Technologist certification/licensure
• Knowledge of patient preparation and communication techniques
• Proficiency in operating and calibrating CT equipment
• Ability to review and ensure image quality
• Adherence to patient safety and comfort protocols
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with healthcare teams
• Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
