Support transportation planning projects by conducting data and GIS analysis, community outreach, and preparing reports. This internship is part of a 9-week program offering professional development and hands-on experience in civil engineering.
Responsibilities
- Support the Consor Denver transportation planning team on projects such as safety studies, corridor plans, and active transportation plans
- Conduct geospatial analysis and develop map-based visualizations
- Create and revise maps, charts, graphics, exhibits, and diagrams
- Prepare exhibits and materials for community outreach events
- Attend, support, and help facilitate community engagement events
- Develop community surveys and synthesize survey results
- Use Microsoft Office Suite to analyze data, prepare presentations, and contribute to written reports
- Perform additional duties as needed, including compiling and digitizing meeting notes
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning or a related field
- Proficiency with ArcGIS
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning or a related field
- Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree
