About This Role

Serve as a Transport Driver, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of clients to care facilities. This role involves direct client interaction, vehicle maintenance, and meticulous record-keeping, often serving as the primary in-person representative of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform long- and short-distance driving, coordinating routes and schedules with dispatchers.
  • Retrieve and secure clients and personal belongings for transportation to destination facilities.
  • Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and company policies, submitting monthly to Field Supervisor.
  • Ensure mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected promptly, reporting defects, accidents, and violations immediately.
  • Perform daily maintenance of vehicle including refueling, cleaning, and stocking snacks/water.
  • Interact with facility staff, clients, and family members in a professional manner in a mental health setting.
  • Address problems and create solutions, collaborating with Dispatcher and elevating issues to Field Supervisor when necessary.
  • Enter data into the Samsara system, maintain logs of calls, incidents, and miles driven, submitting reports monthly to Field Supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Field Supervisors to update and maintain a list of facility contacts.
  • Drive excellence by creating efficiencies that reduce transport arrival times under the 2-hour maximum and report all overages to Field Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 26 years or older
  • Excellent driving record
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Tech-savvy, good typing skills, and experience with data entry
  • Ability to work 5A-3P
  • Ability to work nights, weekends with flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to operate in highly stressful situations, adapting and making decisions as needed
  • Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior law enforcement, military, dispatch, logistics or mental health experience helpful, but not required.
