Optimize the efficiency of driver scheduling for fixed route divisions using Optibus technology, maximizing profitability and reducing driver costs. This role involves producing run cuts, guiding general managers, and acting as a subject matter expert for external clients.
Responsibilities
- Own Optibus related projects companywide, including creation of best practices and efficiency recommendations
- Guide and consult General Managers and planners in achieving optimal outcomes for fixed route run cuts and optimization
- Create run cuts for various divisions and departments, combining efficiency needs, CBA requirements, and improved driver/client satisfaction
- Create relief vehicle schedules to minimize capital needs and drive savings
- Establish best practices for data extraction and import into Optibus
- Model fixed route services for bids on RFPs
- Provide consultation to existing or prospective clients
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert with external clients for sales engagements, representing MV Transportation's technical knowledge in fixed route space
- Lead and develop a team of run cut analysts in the area of fixed route run cutting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills with diplomacy
- Analytical thinking, creative problem solving, and conflict resolution abilities
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined
- Ability to work well with customers and demonstrate expertise
- Capability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Optibus Scheduling, Planning, and Rostering
- Knowledge of Optibus Analytics, Metrics, Reports, and Electric Vehicle modules
- Strategic mindset with ability to provide deliverables and build strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve project success
- Working knowledge of Optibus-related projects and products
