Transfer Trailer Driver

About This Role

The Transfer Trailer Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of transfer trailers to haul waste, recyclables, or construction debris. This role requires adherence to all DOT, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate transfer trailers in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner
• Transport waste, recyclables, or other materials between facilities
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any mechanical issues
• Ensure that loads are properly secured and meet weight requirements
• Maintain daily driver logs, time sheets, and mileage reports in accordance with DOT regulations
• Comply with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle
• Assist with loading or unloading materials as needed
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
