About This Role

This Training Analyst role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs for the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) IT systems. The position requires a senior-level specialist who will conduct research, create instructional materials, and deliver training to a global user community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments and gap analyses for NMMES system users
  • Research and analyze job tasks, system functionality, and user requirements to develop effective training solutions
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), system developers, and end-user representatives to identify training requirements
  • Apply Instructional System Design (ISD) methodology and ADDIE model to design, develop, and evaluate training programs
  • Develop comprehensive instructor materials including course outlines, lesson plans, facilitator guides, and training aids
  • Create student materials including course manuals, workbooks, handouts, quick reference guides, and job aids
  • Design course assessment instruments including knowledge checks, practical exercises, and course critique/evaluation forms
  • Develop computer-based training (CBT) and computer-aided instruction (CAI) modules for self-paced learning
  • Conduct formal classroom training courses and facilitate interactive workshops and seminars
  • Provide consultation on complex training projects and serve as the top-level specialist for instructional design matters

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in training development, instructional design, or related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in Instructional System Design (ISD) methodology and the ADDIE model
  • Experience developing both instructor-led and computer-based training materials
  • Proven ability to conduct formal classroom training, workshops, and seminars
  • Experience working with technical subject matter experts to translate complex systems into effective training
  • Track record of independently performing a wide variety of complicated training development tasks
  • Active Secret security clearance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, Business, Education, Instructional Design, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in training development, instructional design, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Learning, or related field
  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy IT system training programs
  • Familiarity with Navy shipyard operations, maintenance processes, and the Ship Maintenance Community
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar professional certification
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and content management
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for training materials
  • Experience developing training for enterprise resource planning (ERP) or maintenance management systems
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and human-centered design principles
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification or equivalent
  • Experience with video production and multimedia development for training purposes
