Traffic Signs & Markings Installer Senior

About This Role

Lead the installation and maintenance of traffic signs and road markings for DeKalb County Government. This role involves operating specialized equipment, directing traffic, inspecting signs, and training crew members to ensure safe and clear roadways.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and maintenance of traffic control signs
• Assist graphic design technicians
• Respond to emergency calls related to traffic signs
• Maintain daily records of installs and work locations
• Inspect traffic signs and perform cleaning, repairs, or replacements
• Direct traffic as needed
• Lead the installation of road markings using paint trucks and spray guns
• Prepare work sites and mix/load paint for road marking
• Direct and train crew members
• Input work order data
• Lead the maintenance of office space and equipment, including cleaning and refilling propane tanks
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and vehicles
• Inventory supplies and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience installing and maintaining traffic signs and markers
• Valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of experience installing and maintaining traffic signs and markers; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
